Clay Bar
Clay Bar or Clay is the process of using clay to remove contaminants from the car's painted surface which are not removed by simply washing the car. It provides a much cleaner surface for Wax, Sealant, or Ceramic Coating, etc. to protect better and last longer. First, the car is washed to remove dirt. Next, the paint is sprayed with special clay bar lube and clay is rubbed back and forth on the lubricated paint usually in sections. The paint should then be protected with Wax, Sealant, Ceramic Coating, etc. Your car can benefit periodocally from clay bar. The frequency depends on your paint protection used, driving and parking habits.
